NOTD: Feeling like a Rockstar

My nails haven't been painted for about 3 weeks now and I just missed playing with my nail polishes, so I decided to glam up my nails today.

When I look at this, it kinda gives that Rockstar feel to it, thus the title..hehe It was really messy to apply since the red and black polish are kind of hard to clean up since they stain a bit. I'm just glad it turned out looking somewhat neat.

Etude House Fresh Nailwash Safe VS The Face Shop Lovely ME:EX Nail Polish Remover

So here's the thing, I've been using the Etude House Fresh Nailwash Safe Nail Color Remover for a while now and I've been loving it so far, but I had to try out the Face Shop Lovely ME:EX Nail Polish Remover when I read Nikki's (askmewhats) review about it. So, I decided to compare the two.

Here's a quick review on the Etude House Fresh Nailwash Safe Nail Color Remover
- inexpensive, retails at Php 98.00
- this pink variant smells really good
- doesn't leave white casts
- doesn't make my nails dry
- removes nail polish effectively

Here's a quick review on The Face Shop Lovely ME:EX Nail Polish Remover

- inexpensive, retails at Php 95.00
- has a fruity scent like strawberry
- doesn't leave white casts
- doesn't make my nails dry
- removes nail polish effectively

Here's the Difference between the two
- The Face Shop nail polish remover is slightly cheaper than the Etude House Nailwash
- both really smells good but the The Face Shop smells much sweeter
- both comes in a 100 ml bottle
- both has a cute Pink packaging
- the lid on both removers has small holes but The Face Shop one has a smaller diameter which mean less spillage
- the Etude House remover comes in a regular twist cap while The Face Shop comes in a childproof cap which you need to press down and twist counter clockwise to open.
- both does a good job of removing nail polish easily
- both does not leave white casts after using
- both does not leave my nails dry but the Etude House remover feels much more moisturizing

My Verdict, although I find that the Face Shop nail polish remover has better packaging, I like the Etude House nail polish remover better because of the milky-ish formula it has which leaves my nails moisturized.

I would definitely recommend both nail polish removers since they both have good quality, but I'd prefer to repurchase the Etude House nail polish remover.  It's really just a matter of preference. :D

Till next time.

Shoe Love! 4-inch Wedge

I know that I don't really make posts about shoes, but I just had to share this with you ladies. I found this 4 inch wedge sandals while I was browsing through the size 10 isle at Payless Shoe Source (Ayala Center Cebu). The retail price was Php 1,250.00 and I was lucky enough to know that particular wedge was on sale for Php 699.00 only. So I quickly tried it on and paid for it without second thoughts. :D

This is my first ever 4-inch wedge! If you've read from my older post, I mentioned that I'm such a big fan of FLATS and I have several pairs of them. When I tried on that wedge, I honestly thought it would hurt like hell since it is 4 inches in height, but it surprised me when I actually felt comfortable wearing it. So, I'm quite happy with this pair of wedge sandals by FIONI.

This is it for now.

RBBH Look: Matchy Matchy

I recently noticed that there's a new trend in the runway. It's the Matchy makeup. Where the all the colors used for the models from the eyes, cheeks and lips match. At first I never thought that Matchy makeup could look so good. But while I was staring at some runway models' faces they all looked beautiful.

So here's my attempt on a Matchy Makeup, I actually wore this look for work. Nobody even noticed that I was wearing matching makeup LOL! So guess, it does look good when worn right especially if you choose the correct hue which compliments your skin tone.

I went ahead and chose to use orange hues. I used a matte orange eyeshadow from my LA Colors Mineral Spa Palette for both my eyes and cheeks. Then I used my Revlon Colorstay Mineral Lipglaze in Never Ending Nude for my lips. I then applied a highlighter on my cheekbone area, for an added glow.

The look turned out well and best part is, it's so easy to do.

This is it for now.

REVIEW: Charm Pro Stippling Brush

I've always been curious about the quality of Charm brushes from Beauty & Minerals ever since I read about them from various beauty blogs. Now that I finally got my hands on a few of their brushes, I've been using it since then. It's really surprising to have found such high quality makeup brushes from a local brand here in Philippines. So, here's my two cents about the Charm Pro Stippling Brush.

Product Info from Beauty&Minerals
The Charm Pro Stippling Brush comes with their Charm PRO Makeup Brush line. Professional makeup brushes for makeup artist, for the ultimate makeup lover.

This particular brush comes with their 21 pc. Professional brush set which retails for Php 3,450.00

What I like about it...
* reasonably priced
* the size of the handle is perfect
* really fine dual fiber brush
* doesn't shed, no matter how many times you wash it, seriously!
* very soft, I compared it with my elf stippling brush but this is way softer.
* less streaky, when compared to the elf stippling brush
* blends out cream blushes easily

What I don't like...
* none :)

My rating: 4 / 5

compared to the elf studio stippling brush

I'm really impressed with this Stippling Brush, it does the job. So, I don't need to look for the expensive MAC or Sigma Stippling brush anymore. I already said goodbye to my ELF Studio Stippling Brush. LOL! Would I recommend it? Definitely :D

REVIEW: Silka Papaya Whitening Body Wash

I've been loving body washes lately and Silka Papaya Whitening Body Wash is the third brand of body wash I've tried. The first one was Johnson's Body Care Naturally White Daily Moisturizing Wash and second one was the Dove Beauty Body Wash Go Fresh in Energizing. So far I've been loving them all. But here's my two cents on the Silka body wash.

What I like about it...
* inexpensive, retails around Php 45.00
* easily available on all supermarkets and groceries
* smells really good
* a little goes a long way, I emptied out my 100ml bottle after a month.
I just need a few drops on my shower puff and it lathers really well
* it really does lighten my skin naturally,
I was soaked in the sun during my brother's Pre-nup video shoot and worst part is I forgot to apply sunblock. So, my skin really darkened. After a week of usage I noticed that it lightened a bit and after finishing up the whole bottle, my skin color is back to normal. :D
* it very moisturizing, so if you have dry skin, this one's perfect.
* no allergies experienced
* Philippine made

What I don't like...
* none that I can think of. :)

My rating: 4 / 5

I don't want to give this a perfect score because it could definitely use some improvements like adding micro beads to the formula or something like that. This really is a good body wash considering the very affordable price. Will definitely recommend this to you ladies.

This is it for now.

Cheerios!
